Exhibition Area

The presentation is centred on physical development from past to present of all campuses of Mahidol University, particularly Salaya Campus. The subject matter is divided by period of significant development, e.g. the fledgling and expansion phases, along with the exhibition of multiple archives.

Storage and Service Area

The area comprises two sections, namely storage and service, combined into one to reflect the utilization purposes while facilitating monitoring on the part of staff and service access on the part of visitors. The design focused on simplicity, practicability, easy storage and convenient service provision while the atmosphere is conducive to visitors’ understanding of the vision from the foundation laying stage through past and present physical expansions.

Zone 1 : Overture

The opening VDO presentation features the overall constant physical changes of Mahidol University starting from the establishment of Bangkok Noi and Phyathai Campuses in Bangkok, the subsequent expansion to Salaya Sub-district in Nakhon Pathom Province to establish Salaya Campus as the centre of Mahidol Community and the regional educational expansion involving three provinces through the establishment of Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan and Amnat Charoen Campuses.
