ROYAL ARCHIVES OF QUEEN SRI SAVARINDIRA AND ROYAL ARCHIVES OF PRINCE MAHIDOL OF SONGKLA-PRINCESS SRINAGARINDRA
HM Queen Sri Savarindira, the Queen Grandmother, H.R.H. Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father and H.R.H. Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother graciously contributed to Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University and nursing profession in Thailand. On the occasion of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej granting money from “Somdet Phra Si Account, Bureau of the Royal Household” for construction of Mahidol Adulyadej – Phra Sri Nagarindra Building, the Faculty of Nursing establishes “Royal Archives of Queen Sri Savarindira” and “Royal Archives of Prince Mahidol of Songkla-Princess Srinagarindra” to express a great appreciation of their royal contributions.
These two Royal Archives display the biography and royal contribution to nursing, medicine and public health made by HM Queen Sri Savarindira, the Queen Grandmother, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Father and Princess Mother. These archives serve as sources of knowledge and transferring of the royal initiatives, together with gracious practices of all members of the royal family as role models and an inspiration for nursing students, nurses and all visitors.
Moreover, the faculty has the exhibition “Royal Archives of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Kromluang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra”, in order to honor and revere of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Kromluang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra graced to the Faculty of Nursing, Nursing and Thai Public Health. As well as being a source of learning for the younger generations to know about the royal duties of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Kromluang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra to sacrificed to improve the health and quality of life of Thai people.
